5-Wire Resistive

5-Wire Resistive5-Wire Resistive touchscreen technology is widely used in demanding workplace applications such as Point-of-Sale and cash register systems, restaurant and bar systems, automation / operator controls, and more.

It is a reliable, scratch-resistant screen that is not affected by moisture, grease, and other contaminants that may come in contact with the screen. Resistive touchscreens are pressure sensitive. Touch the screen with a finger, gloved hand, fingernail, or object such as a credit card, and you'll receive a fast, accurate response every time.

Benefits:

  • Pressure sensitive touchscreen responds to finger, gloved hand, or pen stylus
  • Durable touchscreen has been tested to over 30 million touches at one point
  • Works with all mouse-driven software using software driver mouse emulation
  • Works alone or with keyboard and mouse
  • Perform the following mouse functions: Left-Click, Double-Click, Drag-and-Drop, and Right-Click

    Drawbacks:

  • Touchscreen layers and coatings slightly degrade image clarity compared to other touchscreen types.
  • Touchscreen surface could be scratched or cut by sharp or abrasive objects. Not recommended for public locations.
