The LCD2201L-SAW-U touch monitor is a 22-inch desktop LCD display with dual-touch touchscreen technology that provides OEMs and design engineers the ability to develop multi-touch applications compatible with the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. Designed for dynamic, reliable touch-enabled applications including graphically intense kiosk applications such as photo kiosks, gaming, concierge and other guest-engagement hospitality experiences.
State-of-the-art LED backlighting technology allows for a thinner design compared to standard cold cathode fluorescent lights (CCFL). LED lights also take less electricity to operate and generate less heat.
The LCD2201L-SAW-U features Surface Acoustic Wave Plus touchscreen technology that offers dual-touch multi-touch interaction. It accurately records two simultaneous touch locations anywhere on the screen with three axes of touch information thereby overcoming many of the drawbacks of other multi-touch technologies, such as camera-based optical that are subject to interferences from ambient light variances and false touches.
Durable Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) touchscreen technology is widely used in applications such as computer based training, information kiosks, and multimedia displays. SAW technology uses an all-glass panel with no films or active layers, giving it a higher clarity and durability than other touchscreen types. The SAW type screen may not perform well in extremely dirty or dusty environments.
Touchscreen responds to finger or soft-rubber tipped pen stylus
Durable touchscreen has been tested to over 50 million touches at one point
Works with all mouse-driven software using software driver mouse emulation
Works alone or with keyboard and mouse
Perform the following mouse functions: Left-Click, Double-Click, Drag-and-Drop, and Right-Click; as well as Windows 7 Single and Multi-Touch Gestures
The touchscreen emulates standard mouse functions, and touching the screen is the same as clicking your mouse at that point on the screen. This allows the touchscreen to work with standard mouse-driven software such as multimedia presentations and Web pages, and custom programs can be developed in the same way as mouse-driven programs.
