DVI-D Cable
Male to Male
15 foot length
CL2 rated for in-wall installation
DVI stands for Digital Visual Interface, which provides high definition video signals that support resolutions up to 1920x1080 (1080p). Our DVI cables feature the DVI-D connector, providing both single-link and dual-link digital only connections. Our DVI-D cables also contain gold plated contacts to ensure reliability and reduce noise.
Often times DVI gets compared to the newer digital standard HDMI. Both are digital, however there are some differences. First, DVI only supports RGB, while HDMI supports both RGB and YCbCr. Second, an HDMI cable can carry digital audio and video all on one single cable, while a DVI cable can only carry video. Also, the DVI standard does not support HDCP copy protection, while HDMI does.
Features:
Supports resolutions up to 1920x1080
Perfect for gaming, graphics editing, and more
Note:
There is no maximum length defined in the DVI standard. Generally, it's determined based on the pixel clock frequency. In general, 25 foot lengths and under will carry signals up to 1920x1080. Longer lengths will decrease to 1280x1024. For even longer lengths, a DVI signal booster is often times used.
