The rack mount LCD monitors that we offer are flat panel TFT monitors that are designed to mount into standard 19-inch computer racks. We offer our rack mount monitors with the following touchscreen technologies: Elo 5-Wire Resistive A reliable and durable pressure-sensitive screen that responds to any input device, including fingers, gloves, and stylus pens. Good choice for workplace applications such as restaurant/bar, point-of-sale, medical, and industrial control systems. More Info. Elo Surface Acoustic Wave An advanced screen that offers the highest image quality and durability for non-harsh environments. Responds to fingers, gloves, and soft-rubber tipped stylus pens. Good choice for multimedia presentations, control rooms, and public information kiosks such as museum and lobby displays. Not recommended for extremely dirty/dusty environments. More Info. 3M / MicroTouch Capacitive A durable screen with high image quality. Rugged enough to withstand harsher workplace environments, and also performs well in public places. Good choice for applications including restaurant and point-of-sale systems, industrial control systems, and information kiosks. Responds to finger/skin contact only, so gloves or stylus pens will not work with this screen. More Info. 3M / MicroTouch PenTouch Same as the Capacitive touchscreen with an attached pen stylus. Good choice for handwriting and signature capture applications. More Info. Along with the standard video cable, the touchscreen interface also requires its own separate cable connection to the PC. We offer the following touchscreen interface types: USB Interface The USB port interface is the best choice for simple installation and compatibility with today's modern PC systems. Connect the touchscreen directly to an open USB port on your PC, or to a USB hub. Serial Interface The Serial port interface is a good choice for older PC systems that do not support the USB interface or for some operating systems where only serial touchscreen drivers are available. It can also be easier to extend over longer distances between the PC and touchscreen with the serial interface.
